Communication Letter 2024-01 requests for National Member Associations to confirm some details. We offer some corrections of information and details of vacant places in the Men Challenge Cup and U16 European Cup too.
1. ITC Version 2024.
The IISHF ITC document has been updated to a 2024 version and will on a regular basis be updated on our website www.iishf.com when additional information is available for example additional Bevents.
Attached please find a copy of the current version. Attached please find the ITC Instructions latest version published in February 2023 edited by the IISHF ITC Manager Simon Price.
2. NMA Approvers.
In the last 24 months we have seen some changes within National Member Associations, its members, committees\boards and officers. As a result of this we would be grateful for confirmation of who you have as appointed\approved ITC Approvers.
Currently the following persons are named as NMA approvers listing those 5 countries that have actively participated in IISHF Title Events in 2023.

- Denmark:
- Erik Sommer
- Claes Fréder.
- Germany:
- Carsten Arndt
- Dennis Müller.
- Great Britain:
- George Wagerfield
- Steven Dickinson.
- Switzerland:
- Gilles Sansonnens.
For those countries that have only one NMA approver IISHF will recommend that they appoint a 2nd approver as backup.

3. IISHF Men European Cup 2024 correction.
Some comments to the previous ranking list published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2023-25 on 31st December 2023.
- By mistake the Swiss 3rd ranked team SHC Buix was not included in the first selection of teams this has now been fixed in the attached updated ranking for the IISHF European Cups 2024.
- The Swiss 4th ranked team IH Sayaluca Lugano is now nominated for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup.
- IHC Aire La Ville from Switzerland is now listed as the first backup team for the IISHF Men European Cup 2024. This is due to the fact that the first team of IH Sayaluca Lugano from Switzerland and Duisburg Ducks from Germany have both now been nominated with their first Men team for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup.
4. IISHF Men European Cup 2024 correction.
Some comments to the previous ranking list published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2023-25 on 31st December 2023.
- The Swiss 1st ranked team IH Sayaluca Lugano is as mentioned above now nominated for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup.
- We have now 9 nominated teams for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2024.
- Both IH Sayaluca Lugano from Switzerland and Duisburg Ducks from Germany were interested in both the IISHF Men European Cup 2024 and the IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2024 but both teams have as mentioned above been nominated for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup.
5. IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2024 vacant place.
We have now 9 nominated teams for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2024 taking place in Avenches, Switzerland hosted by SHC Rolling Aventicum on 14-16.06.2024. The IISHF Presidium have decided to open up for an additional team.
If any NMA have an additional team ready for this event then please respond with team name, contact information and also inform if the team is willing to play games on Friday evening. Currently only one team Deggendorf Pflanz from Germany has responded that they are willing to play Friday evening so any other teams willing to play Friday evening where we could have either 1 or 2 games are also encouraged to respond.
Deadline for responding to the above request is set to 3 weeks so a final reply with an additional extra team must be sent to by the NMAs to office@iishf.com no later than Friday 09.02.2024.
5. IISHF U16 European Cup 2024 vacant place.
We have currently 9 nominated teams for the IISHF U16 European Cup 2024 taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany hosted by Düsseldorf Rams on 10-12.05.2024. The IISHF Presidium have decided to open up for an additional team.
If any NMA have an additional team ready for this event then please respond with team name, contact information plus players information from the 2023 season (age, gender, license number, players name) and also inform if the team is willing to play games on Friday evening. Currently no teams have responded that they are willing to play Friday evening so any other teams willing to play Friday evening where we could have either 1 or 2 games are also encouraged to respond.
Deadline for responding to the above request is set to 3 weeks so a final reply with an additional extra team must be sent to by the NMAs to office@iishf.com no later than Friday 09.02.2024.
