With teams competing from four different nations, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Great Britain this weekend has seen some excellent hockey at the Eishalle Amstetten.

With Team Great Britain the defending champions, Germany and Switzerland needed to avenge their losses from 2022. Both finalists saw off Team Great Britain and Austria paving their way to the final with only Germany not losing a game.

The final, leaving no one wanting more, with Germany taking an early lead. Switzerland closing the gap to just one goal at the end of the second period. The third and final period of regulation time saw Switzerland even the score 5 - 5.

Finally we saw 5 minutes of overtime with neither team backing down and taking this to a penalty shootout.

After numerous penalties and some spectacular saves from both netminders Germany came out victorious with a 4 - 3 penalty shootout win resulting in a final score of 9 - 8
