1. Deadline for Teams participating in the IISHF European Championships 2025
We hereby officially announce that according to point § 12.1 IISHF Constitution the IISHF Presidium has imposed an official deadline for all Teams participating in the IISHF U19 European Championships and/or the IISHF Men European Championships 2025 to send the following material.
§ 15.1.e.9 IISHF Regulations states the following:
The Team Manager must latest eight weeks before the first day of the Event provide full team information:
- An actual team photo (minimum 1.920 x 1.080 pixel)
- Victories/successes of the last 10 years for the relevant team (age group) in English language.
- Players List with names and shirt numbers of all players taking part in English language.
- Team logo (minimum 1.920 x 1.080 pixel).
The ccomplete team information has to be sent by e-mail to the hosting club (use the contact information given on www.iishf.com with a copy (!!) to the IISHF Events (mail to events@iishf.com). Failure will result in fixed fines (50 EUR per week for not sending a copy to IISHF.
Deadline has been fixed for the following European Championships 2025:
· Until Friday 04.07.2025 (week 27) for the IISHF U19 European Championships 2025 in Ternitz (Austria). Deadline 8 weeks.
· Until Friday 01.08.2025 (week 31) for the IISHF Men European Championships 2025. Deadline 8 weeks.
The requested team information and the deadline applies for all participating national teams even for the hosting NMA since IISHF needs to get a copy of the team information from all participating national teams. The requested team information should still be delivered to IISHF even if any hosting NMA has contacted the participating national teams directly.
Please transfer this information a.s.a.p. to your teams participating. In case of any questions to accommodation and organisation, the teams shall please contact the relevant Event Directors as mentioned in the Tournament Rules.
Please also pay attention that each National Member Association must send not later than two weeks before each IISHF Title Event the completed and approved International Team Certificate (ITC) of all its teams to the IISHF ITC Manager (itc@iishf.com).
2. IISHF Title Events – additional team information requested for National Teams
As previously done in the last three years IISHF will use its website and tournament management tool for the Title Events 2025. In consequence each participating team is requested to submit to events@iishf.com the following information as soon as possible but not later than 2 weeks before the start of the Title Event.
- Two main team colours in hex code format (https://www.color-hex.com) as main color (color 1) and secondary color (color 2).
- Links to your website and all your social media page
- Team Sponsor logos and short text (please name the files with the names of the sponsor)
- If available, player photo (only head) for all players as on the ITC (please name the files with the names of the players).
- This information will prove very useful for the IISHF tournament website as well as the tournament management system used to display relevant data for the audience, participating teams and any sponsors, for the work of the IISHF Officials and the hosting club timekeepers.
3. Will Osborne from Great Britain appointed as IISHF Referee Manager
In the IISHF Communication Letter 2024-22 published on 23.12.2024 it was announced that the IISHF Referee Director Claes Freder resigned as of 31.12.2024 and that the IISHF Presidium had decided to implement the following new IISHF referee structure from 1.1.2025:
- We do not appoint a IISHF Referee Director anymore
- Instead, we found a IISHF Referee Committee with the Referee Managers of all NMAs and led by the IISHF Presidium represented by Ingo Goerke and Dee Dalton (IISHF Vice- President and IISHF Officials Manager).
- With this committee we discuss together general referee issues incl. appointment of new IISHF referees, nomination of Referee Supervisors and Referees on IISHF Title Events.
- Dee Dalton will take over the approach to communicate and correspond with the referees and Referee Supervisor.
Based on discussion within the Presidium and with the NMA’s at the recent IISHF AGM that took place in London, Great Britain on 22-23.02.2025 the following revision for the IISHF Referee Department has been decided.
- We have appointed Will Osborne from Great Britian as IISHF Referee Manager (Director).
- The newly founded IISHF Referee Committee with the Referee Managers of all NMAs will be led by the IISHF Referee Manager Will Osborne in coordination with the IISHF Presidium represented by Ingo Goerke (IISHF Finance Director) and Dee Dalton (IISHF Vice-President and IISHF Officials Manager).
- In this committee we discuss together general referee issues incl. the appointment of new IISHF referees, nomination of Referee Supervisors and Referees on IISHF Title Events
- Will Osborne assisted by Dee Dalton will take over the approach to communicate and correspond with the referees and Referee Supervisor.
