1. Replacement Team selected for the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025
Austria and Germany both have reported back with teams for the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025. The deadline was 2.2.2025. For Austria the team is Vienna Rockets the no. 1 team from Austria. For Germany the team is Rostocker Nasenbären the no. 6 team from Germany.
The IISHF Presidium has nominated the Austrian team for the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025 taking place in Bissendorf (Germany) on 16.-18.05.2025 with the Germany team as backup team no. 1.
For the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025 there will now be participation from Austria (1 team), Germany (4 teams), Great Britain (1 team) and Switzerland (4 teams).
The selection of the teams has been done according to the IISHF Regulations §18 (Continental Cup / Championships Events). All NMA countries are entitled to have a minimum of one participating team as long as they meet the requirements as given in the IISHF Regulations.
2. IISHF Women European Cup 2025 with 6 teams
The IISHF Women European Cup 2025 will take place as a combined IISHF Title Event for the U19 National Teams and Women club teams in Ternitz (Austria) in the last weekend of August 2025 (29- 31.08.2025).
The following 6 Women club teams have been selected for participation:
· SPG Dark Vipers Carinthian Lion Queens (Austria).
· Team Ticino (Switzerland).
· Bissendorfer Panther (Germany).
· Wolfurt Walkers (Austria).
· Pulheim Vipers (Germany).
· Rollmöpse Altenberg (Austria).
For the IISHF Women European Cup 2025 there will now be participation from Austria (3 teams), Germany (2 teams) and Switzerland (1 team). We are very pleased that we have secured the required minimum participation of 3 NMA countries for an IISHF European Cup.
The selection of the teams has been done according to the IISHF Regulations §18 (Continental Cup / Championships Events).
The following 2 women club teams have been selected as backup teams:
· Backup team no. 1: ISV Tigers Stegersbach (Austria)
· Backup team no. 2: Spreewölfe Berlin (Germany).
3. Joint IISHF U19 European Championships 2025 and IISHF Women European Cup 2025 Please note that the combined IISHF U19 European Championships 2025 and the IISHF Women European Cup 2025 taking place in Ternitz (Austria) in the last weekend of August 2025 (29- 31.08.2025) that this will be a full 3 days Title Event (which means games from Friday morning until Sunday evening).
4. NMA Referee Managers
All NMAs have to report until 15.02.2025 the contact details of their domestic Referee Manager (with name, email and mobile number). Below please find the information currently provided to IISHF. In case of no reply, we assume the approval for correctness.

5. Updated IISHF Title Events 2025 - Selection for European Cups
Attached please find the updated final selection and ranking of the teams for all IISHF European Cups for IISHF Title Events 2025. The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Cups has been done according to article §18.5 IISHF Regulations. According to article §18.3 IISHF Regulations all participating and listed teams have already officially confirmed their participation on the “IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet”.
We kindly ask all NMA’s to inform their teams about their participation and in addition carefully check the selection list and inform IISHF if anything is not listed according to the input given to IISHF. Deadline for responding to the above request/check is set to 15.02.2025 and reply must be sent to office@iishf.com – in case of no reply we assume the approval for correctness.
