1. IISHF Title Events 2025 - Selection for European Championships
Attached please find the final selection and ranking of the teams for the IISHF European Championships for IISHF Title Events 2025. The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Championships has been done according to §18.5 IISHF Regulations. According to §18.3. IISHF Regulations all participating and listed teams have already officially confirmed their participation on the “IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet”.
We kindly ask all NMA’s to inform their teams about their participation and in addition to carefully check the selection list and inform IISHF if anything is not listed according to the input given to IISHF. Deadline for responding to the above request/check is set to 13.01.2025 and reply must be sent to office@iishf.com – in case of no reply we assume the approval for correctness.
2. IISHF Title Events 2025 - Selection for European Cups
Attached please find the final selection and ranking of the teams for all IISHF European Cups for IISHF Title Events 2025 except the IISHF Women European Cup 2025 where the nomination will follow later (see point 1). The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Cups has been done according to article §18.5 IISHF Regulations. According to article §18.3 IISHF Regulations all participating and listed teams have already officially confirmed their participation on the “IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet”.
Please note the following special comments for the selection of teams for the mentioned IISHF European Cups 2025:
Men European Cup: The Danish Men Championship 2025 was not completed (stopped in the end of the 2nd game due to the weather conditions and will not be resumed before May 2025) so the two Danish teams selected Copenhagen Vikings Rødovre and Gentofte Starz are ranked as joint number 5 and 6 in the ranking. The two teams will be placed in Group A and Group B so it has not any major impact.
Men Challenge Cup: The Swiss team SHC Buix is selected for the Men Challenge Cup since they have preference for this event if not selected for the Men European Cup.
Men Challenge Cup: The Danish team Rødovre Red Devils is selected for this event since each NMA have the right to minimum one participating team.
Men Challenge Cup: The German team ESC Moskitos Essen is selected for this event since they are the hosting club.
Veterans European Cup: The German Champion and Vice-Champion are selected for the event. The names will be published when provided by the German Federation.
Veterans European Cup: The Swiss team SHC Rossemaison is selected for this event since they are the hosting club.
U13 European Cup: The German team Crash Eagles Kaarst is selected for this event since they are the hosting club.

3. Selection for remaining IISHF Title Events 2025
For the IISHF Women European Cup 2025 the selection of the teams will follow in a subsequent IISHF Communication Letter.
We are currently awaiting the final clarification with some NMA’s about the final selection of teams
for the IISHF Women European Cup 2025.
As published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2024-22 on 23.12.2024 the final deadline for feedback regarding participating in the IISHF Women European Cup 2025 is set to 13.01.2025 and reply must be sent to office@iishf.com
4. Teams willing to play Friday evening games for selected IISHF Title Events 2025
In addition to the teams that have already replied we would like to remind that for all of the IISHF European Cup Title Events 2025 (except the IISHF Men European Cup - which is a 3 days event and the IISHF Women European Cup – which is an event for 6 teams) there is an option for teams to play games on the Opening Night at the 5 other IISHF European Cups with 10 participating teams (U13 , U16, U19, Veteran and Men Challenge Cup).
It is not mandatory to play games Friday however if we can play 2 games or at least 1 game Friday evening then the length of all group games for a 10 team Title event can then be extended from 2x10 minutes to 2x12 minutes. IISHF prefers the hosting club to play on the Opening Night if the hosting club permits games Friday evening.
We need to get any missing response delivered from all the participating teams for the mentioned IISHF Title Events. The response should be delivered by the NMA’s. When responding the participating teams should reply if they are willing to play games on Friday (Yes or No).
Deadline for responding to the above request must be sent to office@iishf.com no later than 13.01.2025.
