1. IISHF U16 European Cup 2025 sanctioned
Bissendorfer Panther (Germany) has delivered an application approved by the German Federation for the hosting of the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025 in Bissendorf (Germany) on 16.05-18.05.2025
Please note that since we have passed the deadline of 20.10.2024, where IISHF would announce the application with the standard 3 weeks deadline for any other club/NMA to make their bid for the same IISHF Title Event so this will not be done for the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025. IISHF generally encourages early applications for the IISHF Title Events.
The IISHF Presidium has now sanctioned that Bissendorfer Panther (Germany) approved by the German Federation will host the IISHF U16 European Cup 2025 in Bissendorf (Germany) on 16.05- 18.05.2025. The Opening Ceremony and one opening game will take place on Friday evening if the hosting club gets approval for the pitch on Friday 16.05.2025, then we can have one match at around 19:00 directly after the opening ceremony.
2. IISHF Live Streaming Support Package 2024
As published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2024-09 as of 17 May 2024. The Budget for 2024 with livestreaming at IISHF Title Events is 3.500 Euro based on 7 events with an estimated 500 Euro per event. The final distribution of the IISHF Live Streaming Support Package 2024 will be decided by the IISHF Presidium.
Please note that the NMA’s are our correspondence partners, and they should provide the relevant receiver instructions not the clubs. This applies for 2024 for the 3 hosting NMA’s of IISHF Title Events 2024 taking place in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and this applies also in the cases where the hosting clubs and/or the livestreaming provider have already delivered their banking information. It’s essential that this information is provided by the NMA’s. No IISHF live streaming support payment for 2024 will be made without the permission of the relevant NMA.
The IISHF National Member Associations mentioned are hereby requested (as official deadline according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution) to provide the IISHF Presidium latest Sunday 15.12.2024 the required international bank information details.
3. Number of teams to be reported to IISHF – NMA reporting 2024 version
We kindly remind all National Member Associations (NMAs) to the contents of article §11.12 - §11.14 IISHF Constitution.
§ 11.12 The number of teams in accordance to article 11.11 IISHF Constitution shall include the inline skater hockey teams which will be registered in that country for the previous year and shall be reported with the form sheet ”IISHF Annual NMA Reporting” by each National Member Association including a detailed team list for all age groups with the name of all registered clubs and teams for the previous year no later than 31st December of that previous year to IISHF headquarters. Registered teams are only teams who participated that previous year at the domestic/regional championship or any other official competition in that country or any IISHF European Cup that previous year.
The relevant NMA must provide for all registered teams verifiable evidence of their participation. The IISHF Presidium will decide about the recognition of registered teams based on the provided verifiable evidence – in case of disagreement the Council of Members will make the final decision about the recognition.
§ 11.13 If no report and/or no detailed team list and/or no verifiable evidence has been given by 31st December deadline, the relevant NMA shall get a reminder with a late report period until 15th January to provide the missing information. If no report and/or no detailed team list and/or no verifiable evidence has been given by 15th January, the number of registered teams shall be finally fixed with 49 teams or less for that year and no change of voting rights shall be done for that calendar year.
§ 11.14 Any missing or wrong reporting and/or providing verifiable evidence for registered teams shall result to IISHF Disciplinary Action. Summarized please return us lately until 31.12.2024:
- Attached Form Sheet “IISHF Annual NMA Reporting 2024”.
- Detailed Team List of all registered clubs and teams for all age groups for the year 2024 (Please take care that only teams can be listed who participated in 2024 at the domestic/regional championship or any other official competition in your country or any IISHF European Cup in 2024.
- Verifiable evidence (e.g. official final league tables) of the participation of all relevant teams according to point 2).
Attached please find the Excel file: “IISHF Annual NMA Reporting Template 2024” which should be used for the feedback (to point 1). There are three (3) sheets in the Excel file: Summary Sheet, Data, and Explanations. Please read first the sheet “Explanations”. The reporting is done by editing the work sheets “Data” and “Summary Sheet” and only in the cells that unlocked for editing. Certain tabulations are conducted automatically, and the respective cells are, therefore, blocked for manual editing. The sheet “Backend” is not to be used in the reporting as such (it’s for internal use).
In addition to the mandatory reporting of clubs and teams by 31.12.2024 we would like to kindly ask you to provide the information requested on rinks, players, referees and officials. 4. IISHF Title Events 2025 - confirmed
After the official deadline of 15.11.2024 to apply for hosting of IISHF Title Events 2025 has passed. The IISHF Presidium has finally sanctioned the following IISHF Title Events 2025 and publish the updated listing of IISHF Title Events:

We are very glad to have this number of Title Events to take place in 2025 and thank all the hosting clubs for their willingness to host a title event.
Other Continental Cups 2025 and/or Continental Championships 2025 will not take place except the IISHF Title Events 2025 pending to be confirmed as mentioned below in the next point.
5. IISHF Title Events 2025 – pending to be confirmed: IISHF U19 European Championships 2025 and IISHF Women European Cup 2025
As published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2024-20 on 14.11.2024 in constructive cooperation with the Austrian Federation (ISHA) the following is proposed with a combined IISHF Title Event for the U19 National Teams and Women club teams to take place in Ternitz (Austria) in the last weekend of August 2025 (29-31.08.2025).
Based on the feedback received from the NMA’s it should be possible to host a combined IISHF U19 European Championships with 4-6 teams (Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and hopefully 1 or 2 invited guest countries) together with an IISHF Women European Cup with 6 teams.
The IISHF Presidium will official confirm the mentioned IISHF Title Events with the official application has been received from the Austrian Federation. The final deadline for the formal application is set to 31.12.2024.

6. Deadline for NMA Team Feedback 2024
According to § 18.1 IISHF Regulations, each National Member Association (NMA) must inform the IISHF by the latest on the 15th of December of each year (official deadline according to § 3.7 IISHF Regulations).
- For Club Teams in the age categories of U13, U16, U19:
- National Champion
- National Vice Champion (as possible Back-Up)
- Third Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- Fourth Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- Fifth Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- Any Host with Wild Card
- For Men and Women Club Teams:
- National Champion
- National Vice Champion (as possible Back-Up)
- Third Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- Fourth Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- Fifth Place Team (as possible Back-Up)
- The five eligible teams for the Men Challenge Cup
- Defending European Cup Title Holder (only for Men European Cup, Women European Cup, and Veterans European Cup)
- Any Host with Wild Card
- For the National Teams: Names, contact person, and contact address (email) of each national team.
National Member Associations not providing information according to articles 18.1 a), b), and c) by the deadline will be fined according to article 3.7 of the IISHF Regulations and lose their right to participate with teams at the relevant European Cup.
7. Deadline to Confirm Participation in IISHF European Cups 2025
According to §§ 18.1 and 18.3 of the IISHF Regulations, all teams must confirm within three weeks upon request by the IISHF Communication Letter if they will officially take part. Each confirmation must be signed by the relevant National Member Association on the "IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet" provided by the IISHF. National Member Associations not returning the "IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet" or not providing the requested feedback within the three-week deadline will be fined, and the relevant team will also lose their right to participate in the European Cup 2025.
The need for feedback also applies to all National Vice Champions 2024, Defending Champions, Wild Card Teams, Host Teams, and Backup Teams (a total of at least five teams; if fewer, please report that no extra team is available) who might qualify for 2025.
For the Women European Cup, the deadline might be extended by the IISHF depending on the pending official confirmation of the event. The new deadline for reply is then the 21st of December 2024. If a National Champion declines their place, it will first be offered to that National Member Association's Vice Champion if they do not already have a place.
8. Deadline to Confirm Participation in IISHF European Championships 2025
Regarding the European Championships (National Teams), each National Member Association must confirm to IISHF within three weeks after the announcement if they will officially take part. This final information about the participation of your Men and U19 National Teams for 2025 should be provided to IISHF.
For the U19 European Championships, the deadline may be extended by the IISHF depending on the pending official confirmation of the IISHF U19 European Championships. The new deadline for reply is then the 21st of December 2024.
Each confirmation must be given and signed by the relevant National Member Association on the "IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet" provided by the IISHF. National Member Associations not returning the "IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet" or not providing the requested feedback within the three-weeks deadline will be fined, and the relevant team will also lose their right to participate at the European Championships 2025 at the regular rate.
