1. IISHF Live Streaming Support Payment for 2023

The IISHF Presidium has decided to pay a total of 3.500 Euro as planned in the IISHF Budget for 2023. The payment is done on a prorated payment based on the livestreaming provided at the 7 IISHF Title Events conducted in 2023 with 5 European Cups and 2 European Championships.

The payment will be done to the NMA’s that have provided livestreaming in 2023 (Austria, Germany and Switzerland) and then the NMA’s will distribute the payment to the hosting clubs.

2. IISHF Title Events 2024 - Selection for European Championships

Attached please find the final selection and ranking of the teams for the IISHF European Championships for IISHF Title Events 2024. The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Championships has been done according to § 18.5 IISHF Regulations. According to § 18.3. IISHF Regulations all participating and listed teams have already officially confirmed their participation on the “IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet”.

We kindly ask all NMA’s to inform their teams about their participation and in addition to carefully check the selection list and inform IISHF if anything is not listed according to the input given to IISHF. Deadline for responding to the above request/check is set to 08.01.2024 and reply must be sent to office@iishf.com – in case of no reply we assume the approval for correctness.

Please note that for the IISHF U19 European Championships we currently have only 3 and not the minimum 4 participants so this Title Event will not take place if we don’t have a minimum of 4 participating countries. According to § 18.12 IISHF Regulations the final deadline for confirmation of participation in an European Championship shall be 15.02.2024.

3. IISHF Title Events 2024 - Selection for European Cups

Attached please find the final selection and ranking of the teams for the IISHF European Cups for IISHF Title Events 2024. The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Cups has been done according to article 18.5 IISHF Regulations. According to article 18.3. IISHF Regulations all participating and listed teams have already officially confirmed their participation on the “IISHF Title Event Confirmation Sheet”.

Please note that the IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2024 will take place with 8 teams and the IISHF U16 European Cup 2024 will take place with 9 teams.

4. Teams willing to play Friday evening games for selected IISHF Title Events 2024

In addition to the teams that have already replied we would like to remind that for all of the IISHF European Cup Title Events 2024 (except the IISHF Men European Cup - which is a 3 days event and the IISHF Women European Cup – which is an event for 8 teams) there is an option for teams to play games on the Opening Night at the 3 other IISHF European Cups with 10 participating teams (U13 EC, U16 EC, U19 and Men Challenge Cup).

It is not mandatory to play games Friday however if we can play 2 games or at least 1 game Friday evening then the length of all group games for a 10 team Title event can then be extended from 2x10 minutes to 2x12 minutes. IISHF prefers the hosting club to play on the Opening Night if the hosting club permits games Friday evening.

We need to get the response delivered from all the participating teams for the mentioned IISHF Title Events. The response should be delivered by the NMA’s. When responding the participating teams should reply if they are willing to play games on Friday (Yes or No) and if they are willing to play how early they would be able to play on Friday.

Deadline for responding to the above request is set to 2 weeks so a final reply has to be sent to office@iishf.com no later than Sunday 14.01.2024.

5. AGM 2024 - Hotel Booking

As already communicated the IISHF AGM 2024 shall take place on 24-25.02.2024 in Zurich (Switzerland). The precise location will be:

The hotel is only 250 meters away from the airport with direct access by foot from airport to hotel.

The accommodation price for a single room shall be 218 CHF incl. breakfast The accommodation price for a double room shall be 238 CHF incl. Breakfast Payment is only possible by credit card and not by cash.

Check In is from 15:00 and Check Out is until 12:00.

Marco Eicher (marco.eicher@gmailcom) is the responsible contact person from the hosting Swiss Assocation (FSIH). In addition to above point 5 Communication Letter Marco is kindly requesting all NMAs to provide him until 20.01.2024 the travelling details of each delegate.
