1. Updated Tournament Rules for IISHF Men European Championships 2023.
As attachment you will get the updated Tournament Rules and in addition also the information sheet provided by the hosting club SHC Givisiez for
- Men European Championships 2023 in Givisiez (Switzerland).
Please transfer these documents a.s.a.p. to your teams participating. In case of any questions to accommodation and organisation, the teams shall please contact the relevant Event Director as mentioned in the Tournament Rules.
2. IISHF U13 European Cup 2024.
The IISHF Presidium has decided that SHC Rossemaison (Switzerland) will host the IISHF U13 European Cup 2024. The event will take place on 21-23 June 2024 in Rossemaison (Switzerland) with 10 teams as sanctioned by the IISHF Presidium. Opening Ceremony on Friday with 1 or 2 games on Friday Evening if teams are willing to play.
3. Procedure for IISHF Title Events 2024.
As published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2023-19 on 28 August 2023 please note that without applications until 15 November 2023 that the relevant IISHF Title Events 2024 might not take place.
Please also note that that since no official applications for any IISHF Title Events other than the two IISHF Title Events sanctioned so far (IISHF U13 European Cup 2024 and IISHF Men European Championships 2024) has been received before 25 October 2023, then IISHF will now not announce any following applications with the standard 3 weeks deadline for any other club/NMA to make their bid for the same IISHF Title Event.
We hereby officially announce again that according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution the IISHF Presidium has imposed the following official deadline for all IISHF National Member Associations to inform all their clubs:
- About all open Title Events 2024.
- To inform their clubs about the deadline 15 November 2023 for applications of the open Title Events 2024.
- To inform their clubs that without applications until 15 November 2023 that the relevant Title Events 2024 might not take place.
- That IISHF will announce the updated listing of IISHF Title Events latest 30 November 2023.
The IISHF National Member Associations are also requested (as official deadline according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution) to provide the IISHF Presidium until Sunday 5 November 2023 a copy of their website publication (or other way of information sent to the clubs).
4. Open IISHF Title Events 2024 with some informal indications from NMA’s.
For the following IISHF Title Events some informal indications from Germany and Switzerland have been received but please note that no official applications have been received as of today, so they are still open for 2024:
- U16 European Cup
- U19 European Cup
- Women European Cup
- U19 European Championships
5. Open IISHF Title Events 2024 with no indications from NMA’s.
For the following IISHF Title Events no official applications have been received so they are still open for 2024:
- U10 European Cup
- Men European Cup
- Men Challenge Cup
- Veterans European Cup
- Masters European Cup
- U16 European Championships
- Women European Championships
- Veterans European Championships
- Masters European Championships
6. IISHF Title Events hosting by Great Britain and Denmark.
It’s essential that alle NMA’s that take active part participating in IISHF Title Events also take active part in hosting IISHF Title Events. In 2023 the IISHF Title Events were hosted by 3 NMA’s (Austria, Germany, and Switzerland). The same 3 countries will again host IISHF Title Events in 2024. This is very much appreciated.
It’s essential that all countries even those with few teams and limited financial resources also understand that they should also host on a regular basis.
As published in IISHF Communication Letter 2023-19 on 28 August 2023 it is part of the expected long-term plan for hosting the IISHF Men European Championships and the IISHF U19 European Championships that Great Britain will host the Men European Championships in 2025 and the U19 European Championships in 2026 and that Denmark will host the Men European Championships in 2026.
The last time that Great Britain hosted an IISHF Title Event was the IISHF U19 European Championships in Bordon in October 2022. The last time that Denmark hosted an IISHF Title Event was the IISHF Women European Cup in Gentofte in May 2022.
7. IISHF Live Streaming Support Package 2023.
As published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2023-09 as of 16 April 2023. The Budget for 2023 with livestreaming at IISHF Title Events is 3.500 Euro based on 7 events with estimated 500 Euro per event. The final distribution of the IISHF Live Streaming Support Package 2023 will be decided by the IISHF Presidium by the end of the year after the last IISHF Title Event of this year with the IISHF Men European Championships taking place on 16-19 November 2023 in Givisiez, Switzerland.
Please note that the NMA’s are our correspondence partners, and they should provide the relevant receiver instructions not the clubs. This applies for 2023 for the 3 hosting NMA’s of IISHF Title Events 2023 taking place in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and this applies also in the cases where the hosting clubs and/or the livestreaming provider have already delivered their banking information. It’s essential that this information will be provided by the NMA’s. No IISHF live streaming support payment for 2023 will be done without the permission of the relevant NMA.
The IISHF National Member Associations mentioned are hereby requested (as official deadline according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution) to provide the IISHF Presidium latest Monday 20 November 2023 the required international bank information details.
