Germany and Switzerland come in 2nd and 3rd in this title Event that took place in Bordon, Great Britain.
With its first Championship Great Britain moves up one place to become the new third most successful country in the history of the IISHF U19 European Championship. In 22 editions it had previously earned 5 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals
Germany adds a six Silver Medal to its vast number of medals. It played 21 out of 22 Gold Medal Games. Incredible. With its 15 Gold Medals it has secured its #1 spot in this ranking for more than one decade to come.
Switzerland adds another Bronze Medal, thereby earning a Medal at each of the 22 editions of the U19 European Cup. We repeat “at each” !!! Outstanding!
Austria ranks 4th regarding participations (14) and Medals (5 Bronze).
The Fair Play Cup was won by Germany (30 penalty minutes on 15 infractions in 7 games).
