CL 2022-14 informs about applications received for 4 European Cup in 2023. It calls for applications to 3 European Cups and 2 European Championships.
1. Revised Tournament Rules for the IISHF Open Men European Championships 2022
Attached please find the revised Tournament Rules for the IISHF Open Men European Championships 2022 taking place on 04-06.11.2022 in Duisburg, Germany. The only change is the announcement of a new Tournament Director (TD).
Please transfer this document a.s.a.p. to your teams participating. In case of any questions to accommodation and organisation, the teams shall please contact the relevant Event Director as mentioned in the Tournament Rules.
2. IISHF U13 European Cup 2023. Application received
SHC Givisiez (Switzerland) has delivered an application for the hosting of the IISHF U13 European Cup 2023 in Givisiez (Switzerland) on 28.-30.04.2023. Any other application for this event has to be delivered within 3 weeks – thus deadline shall be Wednesday 12.10.2022.
3. IISHF Women European Cup 2023. Application received
SHC Rossemaison (Switzerland) has delivered an application for the hosting of the IISHF Women European Cup 2023 in Rossemaison (Switzerland) on 19.-21.05.2023. Any other application for this event has to be delivered within 3 weeks – thus deadline shall be Wednesday 12.10.2022.
4. IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2023. Application received
SHC Rolling Aventicum (Switzerland) has delivered an application for the hosting of the IISHF Men Challenge Cup 2023 in Avenches (Switzerland) on 16.-18.06.2023. Any other application for this event has to be delivered within 3 weeks – thus deadline shall be Wednesday 12.10.2022.
5. IISHF U16 European Cup 2023. Application received
SHC Rossemaison (Switzerland) has delivered an application for the hosting of the IISHF U16 European Cup 2023 in Rossemaison (Switzerland) on 18.-20.08.2023. Any other application for this event has to be delivered within 3 weeks – thus deadline shall be Wednesday 12.10.2022.
6. IISHF Title Events Applications for remaining IISHF Title Events 2023
For the following IISHF Title Events no applications have been received so they are still open for 2023:
- U19 European Cup
- Men European Cup
- Veterans European Cup
- Masters European Cup
- U19 European Championships
- Men European Championships
Thus we hereby officially announce that according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution the IISHF Presidium has imposed a the following official deadline for all IISHF National Member Associations to inform all their clubs:
- about all open Title Events 2023 (as above)
- to inform their clubs about the deadline 31 October 2022 for applications of the open Title Events 2023.
- to inform their clubs that without applications until 31 October 2022 that the relevant Title Events 2023 might not take place.
- that IISHF will announce the updated listing of IISHF Title Events latest 15 November
- if any application is received before 10 October 2022 then IISHF will announce the application with the standard 3 weeks deadline for any other club/NMA to make their bid for the same IISHF Title Event. IISHF will generally encourage early applications for the IISHF Title Events.
The IISHF National Member Associations are also requested (as official deadline according to point 12.1 IISHF Constitution) to provide the IISHF Presidium until Sunday 2 October 2022 a copy of their website publication (or other way of information sent to the clubs).
